My husband and I are huge consumers of British detective shows. Or anything British, really. If you want a good comedy, try "Sex Education" on Netflix. Gillian Anderson plays the sex therapist mom of a teenage son who knows way more than his peers about sex, but only on paper. It's laugh-out-loud hilarious and well-acted.

I was not as keen on "Widow's Bay" as everyone else. Felt forced to me, and I've seen Matthew Rhys in way better projects. I would highly recommend HBO's "Somebody, Somewhere". Funny, charming, and poignant. Great characters that you really care about.

I've been watching sitcoms from my youth as a form of escapism lately; they're actually quite comforting. Three's Company and Mama's Family are great shows, as well as Laverne and Shirley. Lots of humor for the sake of humor, and little real drama, which I appreciate because I'd rather just laugh. A more recent (though still older) show is Community, which doesn't get enough praise, in my opinion.

Try holding your nose (and your principles!) and visit someone who has Prime: Clarkson’s Farm might amuse you after a day at the coal face …

I love being entertained but rarely watch television.

I get your comment about The Bear-I love it but also hate it, good storylines but the conflicts and family dynamics are just so over the top, I need a Xanax after every show. And there is a lot of unnecessary filler, like a whole episode inside Carmy's head. So I would recommend it with those caveats.

And I am addicted to The Pitt!
