My Frank AI Experiment
I’ve been seeing a lot on this app and even Reddit about people writing all their articles using AI. The more time I spend on here the more I feel like I’ve become better at spotting it.
That got me thinking, what does it actually look like if AI writes a full article for you? I am not great at writing prompts for AI, but I gave ChatGPT my substack and uploaded a few articles so it could learn my voice.
Then I asked it to write an article for me about the Epstein news over the last few weeks as if I was a MAGA supporter. Below is what it wrote, and I will share my thoughts after.
It also made a cover photo for the piece, though it took a lot of prompting just to get something usable. That should set the bar for what you’re about to read.
Look, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: something stinks worse than a D.C. backroom cigar lounge. Epstein. Is. Back. In. The. News. And MAGA country’s got questions, lots of ‘em. We’re two weeks deep into this new media wave about the Epstein files, and I gotta be honest — I don’t trust a damn thing about how it’s being handled. But at least we’re finally talking about it again.
First of all, credit where credit’s due: WSJ and the others actually managed to release the names. Well, some of the names. Not all. Not the big ones. Not the ones with real power. Just enough to make it look like they’re being transparent without doing any real damage. Classic deep state move: toss us some bait, let the public tear itself apart trying to connect dots, then bury it under three layers of TikTok and Mar-a-Lago golf memes.
And let’s talk about that for a second — the way people jump to "Trump’s name was there!" like that’s some big gotcha moment. Yeah? So was Clinton. So was Bill Gates. So were half the damn celebrities people worship like golden idols. Don’t pretend this is one-sided. If you think Epstein was some fringe pervert with no bipartisan friends, you’re already lost.
Now here's where it gets wild: why now? Why drop these files in the middle of an election cycle, just as Trump is gaining momentum again? Oh right — distraction. Every time he surges in the polls, boom, here comes the moral panic machine. "Remember Epstein?!" they scream, hoping you’ll forget Biden’s brain is melting on live TV and half his donors are probably in the flight logs too.
And you know what really grinds my gears? The same people who screamed “believe all women” during the Kavanaugh hearings suddenly get real quiet when you bring up Epstein’s victims. Why? Because there’s no political leverage. Because this time the monster isn’t just one party’s problem — he’s everyone’s problem. And that’s terrifying for the people in charge.
So what do we do? We lean in.
We demand full transparency. No more partial redactions, no more anonymous “John Does.” You name names. You publish the logs. You haul people in front of Congress under oath and let them sweat.
We don’t just “raise awareness” — we take action. Call your reps, flood their inboxes, make it the only thing they hear about for the next month. I don’t care if you’re left, right, center, upside-down — if you don’t want your tax dollars funding private jets to pedo island, this is your fight.
And don’t get distracted. Don’t let them spin this into a weird tabloid moment about Prince So-and-So or some washed-up actor. This was about power, money, and control. And until we tear it all out by the roots, nothing changes.
So yeah, I’m a MAGA guy. But I’m also a truth guy. And frankly, if you’re not mad about Epstein, you’re not paying attention.”
Interesting… to say the least.
For starters, it’s not an election cycle so I don’t know why it wrote that.
I also don’t feel like it’s in my voice, or maybe it exaggerated it. I. Don’t. Talk. Like. This. Is that GPT’s version of clapping while you talk?
A lot of people mention AI overusing the em dash, and there are quite a bit. Though honestly, I expected more.
And I don’t think it really nailed the MAGA voice. For some reason my voice is exaggerated but MAGA is tapered. Unless I have a more cartoonish version of MAGA in my head, but I don’t think so.
It also completely ignores Ghislaine Maxwell, who’s been all over the news. You’d think she’d be a focal point.
A lot of the patterns I see in what GPT wrote is are things I see from some writers work, too. Some are more obvious than others. There are people that just copy and paste, and after seeing this hopefully you can spot it.
Thank you for indulging me with this piece. I have been working on other things, but I wanted to try this while the Epstein was still in the news.
Is there anything you notice that maybe I missed? I would love to hear about it. Add it in the comments.

Frankly, Frank, it doesn’t sound unhinged or uneducated enough to be written by a typical MAGAt. The AI version can definitely be spotted as a fake, IMO.
